The country of Turkey is especially rich in religious history. It was one of the main staging areas of the Crusades, and it holds sites important to Christianity and Islam. Tourist-oriented businesses bring visitors to the beautiful churches, mosques and historical buildings.

Turkish Riviera

The cities of Antalya and Alanya, located on the Mediterranean in southeast Turkey, offer fine dining and beachfront resorts. Tourists are attracted to the many mountains and breathtakingly rocky coastline.

Turkey's native flowers and birds attract nature lovers from everywhere. The Thermit Ibis birds are giant hawks of the Middle East. Turkey also supports a large population of sea turtles.
