Las Vegas Production Shows
Major production shows such as those by Cirque du Soleil or Blue Man Group are hugely popular in Las Vegas. Tickets for these shows are in high demand, and can be expensive, so get your reservations in early.
Concerts in Las Vegas
Several hotel-casinos have separate, and well-regarded, concert venues, including The Palms Casino Resort, The Hard Rock Las Vegas Hotel, and The Orleans Hotel & Casino. Oldies acts, as well as current stars, make appearances, so if you are planning a Vegas trip, do check to see if your favorites will be in town.
Celebrities, such as Cher, Bette Midler, and Penn and Teller have long-term contracts at some hotels, and other stars are often in town for shorter engagements. Tickets can sell out quickly so call ahead to get your seats.
Casinos frequently have smaller lounges where various acts (magicians, comedians, impressionists, musicians) perform. Ticket prices can be extremely reasonable, and often do not require advance reservations. If your original plans for an evening or afternoon fall through, check out a lounge show.
Many casinos have free shows, ranging from acts that play on the casino floor to outdoor shows such as The Mirage's Volcano (it "goes off" every hour in the evening), the musical, dancing fountains at Bellagio, and the Freemont Street Experience (a light and music show).
