Letchworth State Park Camping

Letchworth State Park Camping
This 14,350-acre park along New York state's Genessee River is a prime outdoor destination throughout the year. The park's 270 campsites offer some of the best value accommodations in the park.

Campsites are located about three miles south of Mount Morris Dam in the Highbanks Campground. The park itself is southeast or Rochester and southwest of Buffalo.

Only the 100, 200, 700 and 800 loops allow pets.

All sites have electric hookups and access to shared showers, restrooms, laundry facilities and water.

Campsites are near the Highbanks recreation area and swimming pool. There are plenty of opportunities for hiking, biking and wildlife viewing in the park.

As of 2009, campsites were available for $44 per night for a maximum of four people. Each campsite can fit two tents or one trailer. Sites must be booked for a two-night minimum.

Campsites can be reserved by calling the park, (585) 493-3600, or by booking online with through Reserve America (see Resource for link).
