St. Martin Tourism Information

St. Martin Tourism Information
Beach lovers and outdoor enthusiasts who are considering a trip to the Caribbean will find St. Martin a distinctive oasis, where they can enjoy a variety of outdoor activities while immersing themselves in the diverse local flavor.

St. Martin is home to postcard-like, white, sandy beaches such as the world-famous Orient Beach. Because of the European flair of the island, many beaches offer clothing-optional areas.

Diving and Snorkeling

Protected by coral reefs, the waters around St. Martin offer divers and snorkelers visibility of at least 100 feet. There are a variety of dive operators around the island for you to begin your underwater exploration.

Water Sports

Windsurfing, parasailing, water-skiing and jet-skiing are available at some of the inland lagoons and at the larger beaches, such as Orient Beach and Grand Case Beach, which is located in St. Maarten on the Dutch side of the island.

Head to St. Martin in March to watch one of the many sailing regattas. If you prefer a hands-on approach, many of the large hotels and some local marinas offer sailboat rentals with and without instruction.

The lush, tropical landscape of St. Martin can be best enjoyed from one of its 25 footpaths, which reveal panoramic views throughout the island.
