Circle Line Sightseeing Cruises is a popular New York attraction. Since 1945, passengers have taken educational trips that offer memorable views of the Manhattan skyline and surrounding areas.

Cruise Options

Passengers on three-hour full island cruises see three rivers, seven major bridges, five boroughs and a closeup of the Statue of Liberty. Two-hour semi-circle cruises travel from Midtown and Lower Manhattan, and the two-hour Harbor Lights cruise sails during sunset.


As of 2009, three-hour full island cruises range from $21 to $34, and two-hour semi-circle cruises are from $19 to $30. The 75-minute Liberty cruises are $16 to $24, and two-hour Harbor Lights cruises are $19 to $30.

Private Charter

As of 2009, charter rates for private parties and gatherings range from $4,300 to $6,900 for three-hour sailings departing and returning to Pier 83. Parking is available on the pier.

Schools and Camps

Schools and camps can have a 90-minute or three-hour sightseeing cruise at discounted rates. A tour guide teaches children facts about New York's history and points out landmarks.

Special Events

Circle Line celebrates Oktoberfest with a scenic sail along the Hudson River from Sept. 26 to Oct. 25. A New Year's Eve sail features a full open bar, hors d'oeuvres, music and a champagne toast.
