USA Passport Photo Rules

USA Passport Photo Rules
For the best passport picture quality, you can get these photos taken at many drug stores and post offices, as well as at storefront passport photo shops. All photos must follow the U.S. State Department guidelines.

To apply for a passport, submit two colored passport photos that are identical and measure 2 by 2 inches.

The photo must have been taken within the past six months and show your current appearance.

It must be a front view of your full face, taken with a plain white background, measuring between 1 and 1-3/8 inches from the bottom of your chin to the top of your head.

You must wear ordinary street clothes, including glasses or hearing aids if you normally wear them. You can also wear religious attire if that is your daily attire.

Do not wear hats, dark glasses or anything else that can obscure your face. Uniforms are also not allowed.
