Best Hikes Near Missoula by Josh Mahan
This book is intended to help unlock the mysteries of Missoula that are only a ridgetop away, to take you to those access points where you can plunge into a pristine swimming hole on a hot summer day. It’s intended to get you out of town and into the mountains that originally drew us here. There are no shortage of paths (some less than a mile from downtown) to slip away from the buzz of machines and return to a sanctuary where flowers grow at your feet, birds serenade, and deer warily gaze at you across a dewy field. Bicycle paths connect the city with the Rattlesnake, Mount Jumbo, North Hills, and Mount Sentinel Trailheads.
