This is a concise guide to 71 of the most picturesque and rewarding day hikes in the coastal counties of Monterey, San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara. All of these great day hikes are on or adjacent to the Pacific coastline and include oceanfront cliffs, promontories, tidepools, canyons, waterfalls, panoramic overlooks and mountain peaks. The hikes are easy to moderately strenuous, accomodating every level of experience.
