Every season offers new reasons to get outside and explore - if you know when and where to go. This guide provides all the information you need to plan 52 great weekend getaways - from excursions for the serious naturalist to casual outings for the whole family. Plan terrific outdoor getaways to see: wildflowers in a kaleidoscope of colors along the Shirley Miller Wildflower Trail; nesting sea turtles on Jekyll Island; the tallest waterfall east of the Mississippi at Amicalola Falls State Park; bottlenose dolphins along the beach on Tybee Island. A handful of indoor adventures are also included for those days when the weather just won't cooperate.
