Trout River (Near Stanley River) Professional Review and Guide
"The Trout River is one of most beautiful rivers to paddle on PEI. It is wide and majestic, surrounded on the west by rolling hills that are dotted with cottages and on the east by high, domed fields and woodlands. The river ventures inland for about 3 miles in a gentle meander. It is usually sheltered from westerly winds, so the paddling is easy. Paddling south from the Morris Bridge on Route 254, you will see a small island called Black Man’s Island."
