Point Deroche Pond Professional Review and Guide
"Point Deroche Pond is a truly delightful freshwater pond. The entire shoreline is uninhabited. The water is crystal clear, with an abundance of alder bushes lining the shore. You will spot several hunting blinds hidden in the heavy natural growth. The strong winds, which may be northerlies, do not hinder your progress on the lake— there are sufficient sand dunes and trees to shelter the lake’s surface. Deroche is a large body of water. If you paddle due northeast, you will follow a bend where many ducks reside. The trout fishing, especially early in the season, is excellent here. Because of the rather young vintage of this pond, there are no tall trees surrounding its banks. The result is that you feel very open and free; there even seems to be more air here than anywhere else."
