Boughton River Professional Review and Guide
"We drove clear across the Island when we heard that a new canoe/kayak trail had been developed on the Boughton River, and am I glad we did! The developing committees—first the Boughton River Watershed Enhancement Association and then the Central Kings Development Committee, led by Becky Petersen—did a magnificent job building a launching dock at the parking area, a shelter, and docks and observation platforms for paddlers along the Boughton. The river, especially in higher tide, is beautiful. The banks are lined with tall grass backed by healthy pine trees, which provide shelter from hard winds."
