This route contains many well-known and impressive land-marks, such as the cliffs at Old Woman Bay, the Devil’s Chair, and the Agawa Rock Pictographs. The shoreline is varied; sections of sheer cliffs plunging into the water, peaceful sandy harbors, and striking, patterned rock. Parts of the coast appeared in Bill Mason’s film about canoeing on Lake Superior, Waterwalker. This route, which describes the whole park shore, can be done in five to seven days, but several road access and launch points make it easy to see some of the better scenery in weekend or day trips.
