Neys Provincial Park protects the 6,485 hectares (16,018 acres) that make up the Coldwell Peninsula, including parts of the landscape that form islands within Lake Superior. The largest of these, known as Pic Island, houses a small herd of Woodland Caribou. The entire hardened lava and granite landscape appears prominently in the work of famed Group of Seven artists Lawren Harris, A.Y. Jackson and Franklin Carmichael. This trail guide includes The Point Trail, Under The Volcano Trail, Lookout Trail, Dune Trail, and The Coastal Trail.
