Hattie Cove to Michipicoten River Professional Review and Guide
"M any kayakers feel this section of shoreline is the best paddling on Lake Superior, if not the Great Lakes. Over 100 miles of roadless wilderness with beautiful rock shoreline, clear turquoise water, wonderful sand beaches, and white-water rivers with spectacular waterfalls. It just doesn’t get any better than this!
About one-third of the route passes along Crown land; the remainder along the shores of Pukaskwa National Park, which receives relatively little use compared with parks stateside. Even if you don’t have time to do the whole thing, the shorter trip from Hattie Cove to Oiseau Bay and back is an excellent introduction to the park. Keep in mind, however, that the shoreline is not regularly patrolled, and that other people may not be nearby if you need help, so use caution and good judgment when paddling."
