Sheffield Conservation Area Trails Professional Review and Guide
"If you want to feel like an explorer, this conservation area is for you. Most of the trail goes right over open plains of bedrock around the shoreline of Little Melon Lake to eventually end up at a great lookout over Haley Lake. If you prefer to make your own trail, there’s lots of space in this unexplored 466ha (1,150- acre) conservation area. Although there isn’t a clear trailhead, a well-travelled path starts beside the parking lot next to Little Melon Lake. The trail leads past a boulder lookout over the lake that’s just the right height so you can admire the loon that’s usually sitting not too far away from the small island in the lake. You’ll also see lots of vultures soaring around."
