Like a good story, this ride begins dramatically in Elora and follows an interesting and varied path through the countryside that concludes in a thrilling finale at the thundering falls of Cataract. Try to imagine what it was like to ride the rails in the late 1800s as you cycle along this former branch line of the Credit Valley Railway. In 1879, the railway ran from Elora to Cataract Junction, acting as a primary feeder line for the main line from Toronto to Orangeville. Surface: Reconditioned rail bed, slightly loose to hard-packed, some undeveloped portions. Recommended Bicycles: Mountain, Hybrid, Touring.
