Shelburne Trail Professional Review and Guide

"The Halifax and Southwestern Railway — known, not always affectionately, as the Hellish Slow & Wobbly — operated between Yarmouth and Halifax from 1907 to 1984. After the tracks were taken up, residents used the line as an unofficial walking trail, and in 1998 the town decided to develop a 2.4 km (1.5 mi) section as a linear park."
