Gaff Point

Gaff Point Professional Review and Guide

"Because of the scenic beauty of the South Shore coastline, it is in high demand for homes and cottages, especially in Lunenburg County. As a result, very little remains undeveloped. One area is Gaff Point, where groups such as the Kingsburg Coastal Conservancy, the Nova Scotia Nature Trust, and the Nature Conservancy of Canada have joined forces to preserve a small, but oh so beautiful headland that projects into Ships Channel at the mouth of the LaHave River. This is a wonderful walk at any time of the year, but I cannot imagine a more splendid experience than what I enjoyed hiking it in late afternoon on a sunny August day."
