Situated at the upper limit of Wallace Bay on the Northumberland Strait, this area has long been an important migration and breeding habitat for waterfowl. Since the habitat management work initiated by Ducks Unlimited, and the protective status afforded by the establishment of a National Wildlife Area, there have been significant increases in both the numbers of waterfowl born here and the varieties of species inhabiting the area.
