Caribou to Munroes Island Provincial Park Professional Review and Guide
"The coastline bordering the Northumberland Strait between the New Brunswick border and New Glasgow is some of the most sought-after land in Nova Scotia. Ideal as summer cottage country, the gentle sandstone, siltstone, and shale of this district sharply contrast with the rugged granites of the Atlantic coastal region. This is a wonderful stroll for a lazy Sunday. The flat, wide beaches encourage dawdling, and I find it difficult to resist the urge to build a sandcastle. Except for its occasional rocky sections, this is a walk for everybody. Those not interested in hiking may always remain on the supervised beach or in the picnic area on the high ground just behind the beach."
