Following a major power line for most of its length, the Mainland North Linear Parkway is a major active transportation and recreational resource in the rapidly changing district of Halifax between Dunbrack Street/Northwest Arm Drive and Highway 102. Used informally for years, the path beneath the power lines was substantially improved by the municipality with a treadway of crushed stone, signed road crossings, and other supporting facilities.
