Do not be deceived by the short distance of this walk; it is a killer! (Maybe not literally, but those with known heart issues might want to consider something less challenging.) Simply put, this trail climbs up a very steep hill to an attractive lookoff and then descends almost as steeply as it ascended.

I was exited by the trail. 3 hours real physical training and a great pleasure. Thanks a lot. Temur

My absolute favorite hike if I don't want to head too far out of town. The admiral loop is a good challenging afternoon hike that's sure to get your heart pumping, while still take your breathe away with some of the views! There are many look offs along the trail overlooking the musquodoboit area and river. If you're into Caching there are at least 10 along the trail. if you're up for a day hike just pass this loop by and head down the main trail to the South Granite Ridge Trail (aka wildnerness trail) or North Granite Trail (or both!! overall this trail system has over 40km of trail!!! )
