Stephenville Professional Review and Guide
"Stephenville is located 48 miles southwest of Corner Brook. The race circuit is an 6.7-mile loop that is extended to a 8.7-mile loop with a side trip to a viewpoint overlooking Stephenville and St. George's Bay. It is a mostly flat ride that utilizes gravel roads as well as single and doubletrack dirt trails behind the northern extreme of the town's residential area. On this ride you will cross through woods and grassy clearings and negotiate some patches of bog. The riding is most challenging through slick, muddy sections of bog that carefully conceal their water content, as well as rocks and roots under tall grasses. You may find the circuit is relatively easy as a fit, intermediate rider, until you kick into race pace and repeat the circuit a few times, as riders do on a race day."
