This ride traces the coast of the Bay of Fundy, departing from St. Martins and continuing to the Big Salmon River. Although you need only a couple of hours to follow this 12.6-mile trail out to the Salmon River and back again, it is well worth putting aside the time to linger. There are fantastic views of the Bay of Fundy, several ideal beaches for swimming, and a suspension bridge to cross at the Salmon River Park at the end of the trail. The Fundy Trail is the standard 8 feet wide, fine gravel surface that characterizes this multi-use trail network. The trail hugs the Fundy coastline and plunges in and out of several river valleys on its way to the Big Salmon River. Alternating between the coast and inland forests, the trail winds and rolls its way to the mouth of the Big Salmon River.
