This 880-hectare (2200-acre) park is a retreat from the city; at times the sounds from a busy highway remind the hiker of the closeness of urban Saint John. Rockwood Park traces its origins to the 1800s and has received an award for the design of the park. The trail provides some fine views of lakes, peninsulas, and rocks shaped by glaciation. At the trailhead there is a children’s animal farm. Trail Condition: some wet spots.
