Most people know the trails behind the Bridgedale Community Centre as cross-country ski trails that are maintained by the Bridgedale Ski Club. However, the rough trails can also be hiked during the summer. The Town of Riverview owns the land and may develop it into a park someday. The thick woods behind the Bridgedale Community Centre are home to deer, moose, raccoons, coyotes, and the occasional bobcat. The mud trails are a good place to look for animal tracks and the carnivorous sundew plant. After several visits, I’m also convinced that this trail has the greatest concentration of mosquitoes and blackflies in the Greater Moncton area.
