The trail is located northeast of the town of Kedgwick, off of Highway 17. This ride begins east of the town of Kedgwick, where the rail trail crosses Highway 17 at Whites Brook. The ride follows the rail trail through the forested wilderness on the south side of the highway, covering 7 miles before reconnecting with the highway at Mann Siding. Of particular interest may be the Kedgwick Forestry Museum and Park, where the history and significance of the logging industry in this area is exhibited. Without any side trips, the total out-and-back trip from Whites Brook to Mann Siding is 14 miles. The entire ride follows the smooth gravel surface of the railroad bed-turned-recreational trail and features no significant hills. Combine these conditions with the many opportunities to spot wildlife, and you've got a great family excursion!
