Odell Park

Odell Park Professional Review and Guide

"The trail is located in Fredericton, on the south side of the Saint John River. Odell Park is situated on a hillside overlooking Fredericton. The main trail through the park is a well-graded, gravel-dusted, multi-use trail that is easy to follow.

All of the trails are well signed, and by following the trails along the perimeter of the park you can minimize the slope, on both the way up and down the hillside. We avoided the most strenuous climb by following the "Main Woods Trail" that winds its way up the east side of the park. The rest of the ride is mostly flat, with one long descent that takes you past the botanical garden. You will end the ride on a flat woods trail that eventually emerges at the parking area."

"Along this old-forest loop, interpretive signs at the Arboretum Nature Trail indicate different species of trees, shrubs, and ferns native to New Brunswick. Some trees are four hundred years old. The park also features a duck pond, a playground, a lodge, a picnic area, and the Fredericton Botanic Garden. Trail Condition: a few wet spots."
