Kouchibouguac River Trail

Kouchibouguac River Trail Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"This trail crosses a bike path and leads into softwoods. The trail soon reaches the Kouchibouguac River, which it follows for almost its length. At a T-juction, a short side trail to the right leads to a bench overlooking the river, while the main trail turns left. The trail crosses a number of wooden bridges; note the many signs of beaver activity in this area. once out of the softwoods, the trail leads through raspberry patches that provide a welcome snack in season.

There are some good views across the Kouchibouguac River Trail in the spring. Shorebirds, especially herons, and cormorants may be seen along the trail. The vegetation along the trail is lush. Raspberries and mushrooms may be found in season. Trail Condition: some wet spots."
