Sugarloaf Mountain Professional Review and Guide
"The ride is located in Sugarloaf Mountain Provincial Park, near Campbellton. In its brochures, Sugarloaf Provincial Park boasts 15.5 miles of mountain bike trails. The bulk of the trails follow the cross-country ski trails, except during the Maritime Mountain Bike Festival, when some hiking trails are made available for racing purposes. One favorite is for the 6.5-mile combination around Pritchard Lake. It is an aerobically stimulating ride with several moderate hills, and the trail alternates between grassy dirt trails and gravel roads. The ride is technically easy, with the exception of some hills that require a willingness to climb and descend on loose dirt and rock. While the expert cross-country ski trails may offer steeper hills and more adventurous terrain, they are not maintained in the summer and are characterized by overgrowth that does little to enhance a rider's experience."
