The pure stand of red pines on the eastern shore is a main feature of this trail. It is the result of natural reforestation, following the 1933 forest fire. In addition, a hanging red pine and nice views across Bathurst Lake make walking this short trail very worthwhile. Listen to the cry of the common loon while you round the peninsula. Trail Condition: dry.
