This trail is located south of Whistler. This 7.3 km (4.38 miles) loop combines a rolling singletrack along the powerful Cheakamus River with a fast gravel roll to return to your car. It makes for a great half-day ride with numerous options for exploring and simply enjoying the sound of the river. Along the way, a self-guided interpretive trail offers an option to park your bike and take a short walk. Keep your eyes out for kayakers surfing the standing waves of the river. As you roll along, the gradients are moderate but variable. A few of the hills include quick switchbacks that will challenge novice riders. some of the climbs are also short and sharp. while the trail is easily rideable by advanced beginners, it requires some caution as you bounce your way up and down the riverbank.
