A network of hiking trails has existed on Hollyburn since the 1920s, interlaced today with wide cross-country ski trails that add to walking possibilities in the summer. Blueberry lovers may find it difficult to tear themselves away from the fruit-laden bushes around First Lake; tasty huckleberries can be found flanking the ski trails in midsummer, too. Highlights: Forest and subalpine lake; Hollyburn Lodge, Baden-Powell Trail; 1200-year-old yellow cedar; king gentians, bunchberry; gray jays. Terrain: Some climbing. Forest trail, access road, cross-country ski trails.
