This trail is located north of Victoria. This is one fun network of interconnected trails offering everything from hairball drops to tender, rolling trails. This is a labyrinth of trails that defies mapping, but it offers oodles of opportunity to test your skills. The trail network uses a wide doubletrack known as the Mainline to provide access to the many side trails. The only catch is that novices have to ride all the way to the upper section of the network, while experts can dive right in. The lower slopes are composed of dark, moist, north-facing slopes. This results in a more severe, rooted, challenging network of trails. Higher up the slope, the sun bakes the hillsides and the red-barked arbutus almost seems to be peeling from sunburn. Here, the trails are smoother and drier, offering a continuum form beginner to solid intermediate (with a few expert trails hidden away for the determined rider to discover).
