Ridge Park Loop Professional Review and Guide
"For a Vancouverite returning to the lower Fraser Valley after an exile of a decade or two, the population explosion is painfully evident, and nowhere, perhaps, is it more visible than on the once-forested south slopes of Eagle Ridge, where residential development creeps relentlessly upwards from the town centres of Port Moody and Coquitlam. Fortunately a few areas along streambeds and over rocky outcrops have been saved from the debacle and provide an escape from pavement to some pleasant green oases. Such a haven in the Westwood Plateau area of Coquitlam is Ridge Park, with a loop trail and access points from several existing streets. Plans exist for other recreational routes to be available as developments are completed, so that eventually it will be possible to make extended walks linking various green strips across the area."
