More than three decades ago, the idea was conceived of a walk round the municipality of Port Coquitlam with transverse trails running east and west to link the two south-flowing rivers, the Pitt and the Coquitlam, that enclose it. Sad to say, development, both residential and commercial, has played havoc with the original design, reducing the part still pleasant for pedestrians to little more than a semicircle confined to the northern half, with transportation necessary to connect the two ends or with your walk limited to one or the other of its segments.

A large portion of this trail is under construction with the new Pitt River bridge, I havew not walked it, but given that 1/3 of the river part is torn up, I will wait for the under of construction.
