Mount Gardner

Mount Gardner Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"Though Mount Gardner, at 734 meters (2,408 feet) high, doesn’t stack up against The Lions or Mount Seymour, it does award with similarly epic views.

The mountain proves a formidable climb, especially as you start near sea level. But the challenge is as much in the navigation as the elevation gain—you need a keen eye to negotiate a series of old gravel logging roads and skid roads to the summit."

"New and old trails on Bowen Island’s highest mountain can be combined to suit modest as well as ambitious hikers. The circuit described here is a fairly strenuous walk for the nonexpert, but with a superb viewpoint for its destination, is an expedition worthy of the 20-minute sea voyage it entails, and deserving of a clear day on which to appreciate the marine views. An optional, more challenging route is offered for vigorous hikers." Read more
