Along with Cates Park at its south end, lower Indian Arm boasts no fewer than five public recreation areas, the round of which, either in whole or in part, gives you an interesting variety of scenery. Cates Park on its own is reached from Dollarton Highway, but for its incorporation in the total outing, it may also be approached from the northern loop, where four smaller recreation areas vie for your attention. From the north, the starting point is Panorama Park, accessible by bus or car from Deep Cove Road by going right on Gallant Avenue then left on Panorama Drive to the park. From here, you turn south, heading past a yacht club, following the shoreline on either of two routes through Deep Cove Park to a small creek.
