North Burnaby is blessed in its rolling topography, with numerous little eminences to provide vantage points over city, sea and mountain; it is doubly blessed in its many little parks and green spaces with their vistas of the distant North Shore mountains, from The Lions to Golden Ears and its neighbours.

The first 15 mins of the trail I really liked because it was in the middle of the woods and had some nice views of the water. Pretty simple walk, anybody can do it. However after about 10-15 minutes or so, the trail was out in the open, behind people's homes, next to an oil refinery and I just got bored and turned around... I was told later on that the trail continues on towards Capitol Hill and to a beach and even all the way to SFU eventually, but honestly, unless the trail was going to loop around and come back (which it doesn't), I would rather stay in the cool woodsy part.
