Canoe Mountain Professional Review and Guide
"This ride provides some incredibly panoramic views of the Rockies, the Cariboos and the Monashees for the strong and determined cyclist. The views begin almost immediately and continue to improve as you ascend this, the northernmost point of the Monashee Mountains. The riding is continuously uphill on a steep gravel road but, although the road is open to vehicles, you will encounter only the occasional 4x4. You can pedal all the way to the summit if you have bionic legs and manage to always pick the best line on the loose gravel. It’s a big “if.” Much of the road is steep and some sections have loose rock of up to cobble size. But, even if you do have to push your bike a good part of the way it is still worthwhile, considering the excellent trip down."
