An easy walk through coastal old-growth forests, this hike winds over level boardwalks and moderate staircases to Schooner Cove and Long Beach. Several examples of giant Sitka spruce are evident along the way and make for cool rest spots on a hot day. This trail ends at an island that is accessible at low tide and home to an abundance of rocky tidal pools. Be sure to consult your tide tables and take care when crossing over the small salmon spawning stream.
