Sigurd Creek Professional Review and Guide
"This trip takes you into the rarely hiked Ashlu River Valley. You can take a short hike to Crooked Falls, which is good at any time of year but especially spectacular during spring runoff. Or you can make a longer hike by continuing up the trail past the falls junction to two viewpoints that look out over the confluence of the Ashlu and Squamish Rivers to Garibaldi Lake and its surrounding peaks. Cloudburst Mountain is in the foreground. If you do not mind hiking in the dark, catch these views at sunset. The trail is a work-in-progress past the second viewpoint. If you are not averse to negotiating slide alder, another hour’s hike beyond the upper viewpoint will give you an amazing view of the glaciers spilling off Ossa and Pelion Mountains."
