This trail is located adjacent to Squamish. The Powerhouse Plunge will test not only your technical prowess but also your precision. This expert-level 3.2 km (1.9) one-way ride was designed as part of the 1996 Test of Metal race. It is an unforgiving drop along a very narrow singletrack that requires a delicate approach mixed with some expert timing. A simple mistake may introduce you to an immovable western hemlock or drop you down a very steep sidecut. For riders up to the challenge, it offers a wonderful mix of back-to-back challenges that seems to end far too quickly. When combined with parts of the Ring Creek Falls Trail and the Diamondhead Road, you have the option of riding it over and over again.
