The newly established Pinecone Burke Provincial Park stretches through seldom-traveled country from Garibaldi Park to Coquitlam. This trip, a partially flagged route that takes you to the top of a 1980 m (6500 ft) summit looking down on Pinecone Lake, follows a beautiful subalpine ridge that provides obvious direction—as long as you know how to use a map and compass. There are also views north to Mount Garibaldi and Mamquam Mountain, and south to rarely visited Meslilloet Mountain. November Lake nestles in a steep bowl below the ridge.
