This trail is located between Squamish and Whistler. This 57.7 km (34.62 miles) point-to-point ride was designed to push racers to the limit. The length is extreme, as are the climbs en route. Though this is a spectacular ride, it should not be taken lightly. the vehicle shuttle alone makes it a challenge for most riders. A solid day can be created by riding the north section of the trail beginning at Brandywine Falls and finishing at the village. This removes the highway riding and focuses on the stretch with the most elevation gain. However you approach this ride, remember that you are following the tracks of champions.

This is a beautiful ride that provides not only incredible scenery and challenging terrain, but also a sense of history as part of it follows the historic Pemberton Trail. There are also several lakes that are great for a swim (Lucielle Lake near Pinecrest and Swim Lake at Brandywine). You can also choose to race the course during the annual Cheakamus Challenge Classic Bike Race (third Saturday in September).
