Rock Garden Trail Professional Review and Guide
"This short walk loops around a rocky moraine with occasional views of nearby mountain peaks. If you need to stretch your legs on a long car trip, this trail is a perfect choice. Wear hiking boots or runners, as the trail winds through rough, uneven terrain. The trail starts on a boardwalk, which leads you through a forest filled with hemlock and Douglas fir to a directional arrow. Head right (north) at the arrow through the wet montane forest.
You’ll pass through a rocky section, eventually climb up and over the large boulders, and briefly overlook the highway before looping back to the directional arrow. At 500 meters you’ll enjoy a great view to your right (south) of Mount Bonney (3,107 m) and the Bonney Glacier as well as Eagle Mountain (2,850 m), Mount Uto (2,911 m), and Mount Sir Donald (3,277 m) straight ahead (east)."
