This interpretive hike follows a section of the original railway that once looped through Rogers Pass. You’ll also gain a spectacular view of the north face of Mount Bonney and its glacier. Between the valley bottom and summit of Rogers Pass, the original Canadian Pacific Railway line made many continuous loops to soften the grade and avoid the worst avalanche slopes. The total curvature of these loops actually equaled seven complete circles. This short interpretive hike takes you along one of these loops through the dense woods along the old track and up to a fantastic view of Mount Bonney (3,100 m) and its studded glacier (south).
