An uphill hike through the wet montane forest of the Columbia Mountains to Bostock Pass, where you’ll gain views of Fidelity Mountain and Corbin Peak. If you’ve spent a few days in the Illecillewaet area, this trail encourages a nice change of scenery. Unlike the ever-present glacial landscape of the Asulkan and Illecillewaet, Bostock is a pleasant, seldom-traveled trail that winds through a wet montane forest up the valley to Bostock Pass, where you gain great views of Fidelity Mountain (2,545 m) and snow-capped Corbin Peak (2,576 m). These peaks of the Selkirk Mountains have sedimentary rock covering the older metamorphic rock. The limestone and shales give these rock faces a distinctly different appearance from the other mountains in the park; they shine like freshly laid tarmac.
