An uphill hike to the top of Abbott Ridge. Before gaining extraordinary views of the entire park, you’ll pass by Marion Lake and the Abbott Observatory. You’ll hike this steep trail in anxious anticipation of what’s ahead. The views through the trees are pretty good, but you won’t truly be rewarded until you reach the alpine tundra on the lower ridge. And once you’re there you’ll be tempted to bellow out the Sound of Music as you twirl around to soak in the view.
